Gouge Blade No.1 is finely designed for precise cleaning of the nail sulcus and cutting the spur of an ingrown nail. It is also used for performing wicking of the fingernail into the sulcus and removing or completing the ablation of a cor, particularly focusing on the care and elimination of the nucleus. With a sharp side part, similar to a mini-scalpel, it efficiently cleans the nail sulcus. Additionally, this blade can be used to streak the nail, creating a surface suitable for the attachment of polymerizable pads used in orthonyxies and onychoplasties.
